Nice nose ring

A friend from for many years, my dear red headed Sean moved away last month. Lost him to the West Coast. Although I'm a little jealous, I know that someday I will be there too. I saw him last night... in my dream at least. He came back to NY to show me his nose ring and trendy clothes because our friend Hugh kept making fun of him. I tried to support him... told him I did... but really kept thinking "ohhh no, west coast sell out!" He just kept telling me he had to do it to fit in in San Fransisco.

I hope that doesn't happen. Anyways, that was my possible real life dream last night!

The roof! The roof! My leg is on fire!

I would like to give it up for doctor's and nurses that work 12 hour shifts regularly. Not only is their jobs physically draining but they are also mentally stressful, and these men and women deserve the paycheck they work for! I say this because I recently picked up a Saturday night shift. Making my hours 10:30- 10:30. I can not compare waitressing to doctoring and make a solid case, at least not now without thinking in through. But anyways.... on Saturday I had the weirdest dream....

I was exhausted, but like any one else before I went to bed I had to check facebook// go online. I successfully had five minute conversations with Kaitlin and Patryck before I fell asleep mid sentence. More like, passed out. The problem was my lap top (which has a history of overheating) was on my legs. So about an hour later I start dreaming I'm on fire and that my leg has been burnt so bad. I jump up realize it's my laptop and immediately try to pull my pants off, in my fog I was convinced that my leg was still burnt to a crisp.

But after working 12 hours my feet were not moving nearly as fast as my mind wanted them to and my flailing caused me to fall all over the place. I gave up (apparently) and went back to bed. Waking up Sunday morning with my pants on and my lap top on the far corner of my bed under pillows. I guess I successfully put out the fire.

I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream!

As if I didn't have enough jobs, I thought last night that maybe I should look for another. Because last night, I had the weirdest dream.

I was hanging out with my friend Kaitlin, who works at McNulty's Ice Cream Parlor when she desperately pitched me to work with her. She tried really hard to sell me, "you get to eat ice cream, and we could work together!" I wanted to be nice (of course) and was really almost considering it when she told me it was only $5 an hour. I tried explaining that I would prefer at least $8 but even that was a pay cut. She begged me and said she just really needed help for that day. So sure enough, I suit up in my Tommy's Place uniform (because I remember thinking to myself in my dream, "it looks similar enough!") and started serving ice cream. With no training I don't think I was that bad. Hahah...

Day and night I dream of ice cream. It is never too early or too late for an ice cream cone! This may be half my waistline's problem. But live on! Have a good day everyone!

Holy Twister

It seems like tornadoes have been popping up a lot in NY... at least in this New Yorkers mind. I was supposed to be baby sitting for the first time for my cousin. Though her house was unfamiliar and empty. Before she left we checked the weather and saw that Suffolk had tornado warnings. We stepped outside and the sky was full of all sorts of funnel clouds. There was one actual tornado that was just huge. We ran all around trying to find the safest spot to hide, but for having no experience in tornado safety we ran around for what was supposed to be hours. By that time we realized the tornado was not moving. The biggest sigh of relief came over us and we both woke up.

Alice, oh Alice

Last night I had the weirdest dream...I found myself shopping around NYC with my dear from Alice (whom I haven't seen in just about a year, because she's been in Australia) suddenly there was a tornado scare. We shrugged it off because we were in the city, and how often are there tornadoes in Manhattan? Then suddenly everyone looked in the sky to see dozens of funnel clouds!! Amongst panic we decided the safest place was Macy's basement. And then I woke up.

Only one dream last night that I can remember. At least it wasn't as crazy as some of them have been.

A new puppy with a tragic ending

Last night I had the weirdest dream. Me and Patryck were walking around an indescribable somewhere when we acquired a puppy! (Lately we've been talking about getting one, and even went to look at some. We fell in love with a chocolate beagle, who I fell madly in love with. This dream was not positive but I hope he's found a good home!) So now we are walking around with Bailey and our new puppy. We stop for a bit to talk to some people and let Bailey and Chocolate (I'll just refer to him like this.) run around off leash. Bailey seems to be leading the pack when they crawl in some sort of tractor, one of them presses the levers and the truck goes jetting forward. Patryck says it's fine.. they won't go to far. Suddenly it takes off, and cuts through trees, and yards, and nothing is stopping them. Until... it flies off a cliff. Chocolate flies out, and Bailey is trapped... both dogs die... we run to the water that they landed in and they are shrunk down into small silver statues. I was devastated and then that dream faded.

I was now in a city with Lisa, we're driving around in the dune buggy when everything starts to get small and narrow. The dune buggy begins to break and she insists we abandon it. I refuse and manage to fold it up and carry it inside the only building that remained regular size. I unfold the dune buggy and drive in up the stairs into the elevator.

I woke up. It was really hot in my room last night, I need to get my frumpy A/C in the window. It's just a matter of time. I need to cool down these wild dreams.

On that note!! Happy Memorial Day weekend! Time to hit the beach!

Where are your pants?

Last night I had the weirdest dream. Wearing exactly what I wore to bed, an oversize teeshirt and my most comfortable panties I found myself shopping at Target. I wasn't alone, no no, I was with my Mom, my friend Lisa, and her mom. Which is strange that these 3 were okay with me walking around in my underwear. In fact, they all thought it was funny. I seemed to have a really good reason when they asked me "Where are your pants?!"... I proclaimed that it was much easier to shop without pants because then you could just try on shorts and pants as you found them. If one size didn't fit there was no need to get redressed and leave the dressing room to find a different size. I specifically remember her mom saying, "Yup, that's my Charlotte!"

(So now that I'm awake and thinking about this... YES! This is such a brilliant idea! It would make pants shopping sooo much quicker. Although, I'd hate to end up on People of Walmart!)

My dreams faded for a little bit after this one. Until I was at work in some sort of down port type of place. Everyone was scared to death because there was a band of thieves running around and killing people, the modern day type of pirate. We all found ourselves hiding upstairs in the stock room every sound sent someone to go mad. As these pirates began to charge up the stairs I took a leap of faith out the window and landed in this sand pile where I buried myself for a while. From the sand pile I was watching the beach, there was a little boy and girl playing near the water he kept pushing her down and trying to hold her under water. I scared him away and ran to the little girls side, we then collected seashells and beach glass until I had to leave on a boat that was coming to save me.

(That dream faded, and I can't remember what happened for a while. I was laying in bed telling myself, OH! Don't forget this! But I did. Oh well.)

Now I was at home stressed out from a day events with my brother and some lady that knew us quite well brought us presents. I was really excited because I thought it was an ipad (haha!) instead it was a different tablet. She went into this big explanation to why it was the best because it came with 3 extra batteries and multiple soft cases. (Now I really want a random lady to come to my house with tablets for me and Steven, I have my fingers crossed and hopes up, though I am expecting this to actually happen.) A homeless crazy then comes into my house and begins shuffling her feet all over, everywhere and everything. She's harmless and doesn't want to hurt anyone just wants to wipe her feet. Eventually she leaves.

Patryck's alarm was going off some time around 11. As always I elbowed him till he snoozed. Where I then found myself in my final dream. The both of us were in church. I was still feeling scared and anxiety from earlier. I was listening to the priest who kept turning around and looking up at the organ because he said it was talking to him. But he just wanted to ensure us that we were all okay. There was then a nontraditional song. I looked at Patyrck and said this is Sophie's (our friend from Sweden) favorite song! (So when he wakes up I'll actually be able to find out what song it was). But for now, it was some kind of techno song. One that had a dance following to it... there were many people who started dancing to it and I was mad I didn't know the dance. After church was over. I woke up.
